STATE TESTING

The Arizona Department of Education is requiring all students to take the state Arizona's Academic Standards Assessment (AASA) in ELA and Math and the Science AzSCI test. These state tests are to measure student performance on Arizona College and Career Standards.  There are many resources available and practice items.

Students in grades 3-8th will take the assessment online with the use of computers.  Students in 5th and 8th will also be taking the science test.  Even though the assessment is given online, all students are required to be in-person to take this test.

Students in the 3rd grade must meet the requirements of the Move on When Reading law. This is determined through the AzM2 state assessment at the end of 3rd grade. For more information, please click here.
