Superintendent Dr. Lanese was proud to recognize both Ms. Hernandez and Mrs. Cruz at BESD's February 2026 board meeting with the Superintendent Award of Excellence!
Ms. Hernandez and Mrs. Cruz were honored for their incredible leadership at the MEAD Math Conference in Tucson, where they led a session on using student thinking posters.
This strategy is a perfect example of how we are building confident young mathematicians across all of BESD. We are so proud of Ms. Hernandez and Mrs. Cruz for representing our district's commitment to excellence on a regional stage!
